A disappointing loss, and a game that was mired in controversy from the drop of the puck. The penalty box got busy right away: four minors in the first period, two on each side, and nobody scored. OJG broke through in the second at 9:11 and 0:55 left, then made it 3-0 early in the 3rd at 14:43 left. The turning point was at 8:28 left in the 3rd, when Julia C. (#21) was given a cross-checking major and a game misconduct, which ended her night and left us playing a major shorthanded while down three. Claire S. (#10) and Maddie G. (#44) each went to the box after that, so we spent most of the last eight minutes killing penalties. To the team's credit, we kept working. Everly R. (#29) got us on the board with 1:42 left, with the assist from Emma J. (#14). Final: OJG 3, Biggby Black 1. Penalties on the score sheet: Biggby Black four minors plus the major and game misconduct, OJG three minors. Shots are not recorded on the score sheet, so we are not printing any. Next up is Sunday at home against St. Clair Shores. This result is unofficial until the league finalizes the score sheet.
