MGHL
Michigan Girls Hockey League: a supportive, fun league that promotes fair competition, good sportsmanship and excellence in coaching, while growing the girls' game in Michigan and beyond. It runs Tier 2 and Tier 3 for girls. Learn more →
MAHA
Michigan Amateur Hockey Association, the USA Hockey affiliate that governs youth hockey in Michigan. MGHL follows MAHA and USA Hockey rules on rostering, penalties, game counts and age classes. MAHA also hosts a girls state tournament for Tier 2 and 3. Learn more →
Tier II / AA
The middle competitive level for association-based teams that are not Tier 1 / AAA. At 14U it is a national-bound classification. Learn more →
MGHL divisions
Superior is the top Tier 2 division, Michigan is mid-Tier 2, and Huron covers lower Tier 2 and Tier 3. They are strength tiers, not geography. Learn more →
